11/22/2019 · My 180,000 mile ’04 XC90 2.5T AWD has a significantly noisy whine in the front end. Seems to originate around the driver footwell. It becomes audible from about 40mph to about 80mph, above which it seems to cease. This only manifests under acceleration and the pitch becomes higher as a function of increased speed, NOT RPM.
Hi all, I have a driveline whine that can only be heard when the accelerator is depressed. If I take my foot of the gas the sound goes away. The whine gets louder the faster I go. Any suggestions as to where to start looking? The car is a 2006 XC90 2.5T auto with 165k klms, I’ve replaced all the engine mounts and that has helped with other noises / shudders.

Bad pcv, mechanic said it’s from not changing oil on time.
